Patti Rankin

Director at Large

Patti has participated with recovery communities across the country since the mid-1970s.

As a licensed psychiatric technician, Patti worked primarily with teenagers both mandated and voluntary patients in California mental hospitals for many years. She was responsible for individual counseling, group sessions, medication administration, and all aspects of inpatient treatment.

After an injury, Patti retrained and worked as a computer programmer and systems analyst for over 35 years. She now resides in Waco, TX where she is getting used to, and enjoying, retirement.

Patti has always enjoyed reading, sewing and knitting, and has recently taken up quilting. It remains to be seen how successful that is! Patti’s participation with Preserving the Message is a way to help ensure that the history which has touched her life is available for others to experience for years to come.
