Art was a Porsche mechanic for over 30 years. His business background is in the automotive industry, focusing on customer service. He owned his own independent dealership for many years, and then managed a large luxury vehicle dealership. He now does volunteer work bringing recovery meetings into Prisons and Jails in both Oregon and California as well as actively working with the formerly incarcerated population. He became interested in NA History in 2015 and became a student of it. Since Covid, some of his volunteer commitments have become virtual. In 2020 He Co-Chaired a NA History “Convention” online with 11 speakers with 45 years clean time or more to speak for 45 minutes each! Then he started doing zoom interviews with our predecessors and co-chaired the beginnings of the Northern California NA History project which is now the Northern California Region History and Archive Committee. He’s now the Chair of the Lane County Oregon NA History and Archive Committee.Working with Preserving the Message is his way of contributing to carrying the rich history of NA into the future for generations to come.Art spends the rest of his “free” time being with his family, gardening, traveling, music and driving his vintage cars.
